WOODBLOCK PRINTMAKING

Join Nick Wroblewski, woodcut printmaker, for four days of carving, inking, and printing exploration. We will investigate the many methods of relief woodblock printmaking. Techniques include: image transfer, carving, reduction, and multi-block methods. Simplifying the intricate world of print design, this class will provide instruction on layering, reverse imagery, registration, and printing with a press. Also included are guided discussions on subject matter, abstraction, and conceptual intent. There will be dedicated time for studio work, group discussion, demonstrations, and individualized guidance.
